In this film the directors - Leendert Pot and Michel Schöpping - visit the Portuguese fado singer Cristina Branco and her husband, the musician Custodio Castelo. In their home at the Portuguese countryside, a Cape Verdian poem evokes a new fado composition. We witness how Cristina and Custodio keep on exploring the boundaries of the fado and, by doing so, renew this traditional music.
